Sex Sells. Let’s Channel It for Poor Women!
We’ve posted lots of serious reads this week at Anne of Carversville. Reality is that when I write about sexuality, it’s a bingo. Traffic escalates and our page views go up.
Hillary may be on the cover of TIME in every global edition and Merkel made a fantastic environmental speech before Congress, but our educated, sophisticated professional female and male readers like sexy, too. This is a global fact of life.
Even TEDIndia isn’t drawing like ‘sexy’.
I’m sensing that our male readers are hitting about 40% and they love A of C. In particular, I believe that men will get out their wallets to support my idea. Men love A of C and embrace my moxie spirit.
I’m learning to seduce the reader, but now moreso. I want to channel ‘sexy’ for good.
Anne’s hits for the week, each becoming a top 10 article in 24 hours, while Hillary and Merkel linger in comparative neglect:

What If We All Become Calendar Cupcakes?
As I told an NGO this week, we can raise a lot of money for poor women with cupcake calendar girls (and guys) in a respectable digital environment like A of C. The fact that we must be incognito and give the money anonymously, or through a second foundation to avoid a backlash against poor women, is just a tactical challenge.
If you are among our growing international women’s rights readers and want to talk about our calendar cupcakes idea, please contact me at Anne of Carversville. A good friend of mine may be able to devote full time to the project, while I focus on traffic building.

We need all the help we can get on framing this idea, particularly from the recipient side. What’s the best structure for moving money from totally G-rated but sensual cupcakes (photos, food recipes, and maybe a sexy read or two) to key organizations working on international women’s issues in poor countries?
I would love to involve some globally-acceptable figures without my sensual ties to business and consulting projects. It may be best for me to work in the background as the engine of the idea, while others are the public face of the project.
In Latin America, I believe we can operate publicly. In the Middle East and Africa, most likely we can’t be associated with the source of nonprofit funds.
Help, please. Let’s channel ‘sexy’ for the positive benefit of women. Anne
