Is Lubna Hussein in Omdurman Women’s Prison?

While the world is congratulating itself on Lubna’s good outcome today — not being flogged — we have reason to believe she is already in prison.

Lubna will not pay the fine; everyone agrees.  SwissInfo is quoting Reuters Andrew Heavens saying that Lubna’s lawyer Kamal Omar has confirmed that Lubna has been taken to the capital’s Omdurman Women’s Prison.

Omar confirmed that supporters (including me) will step up their campaign to call for an end to the indecency law. He is also planning to appeal Lubna’s sentence. Anne
